Regional Awards

What is The Regional Banquet?
​Every show season, 1st May – 30th April, all cats are scored for regional points.
​
​At the end of the season the Top 25 Kittens, LH Cats, SH Cats, Alters, HHPK & HHP will earn the title of Regional Winner if they have achieved the minimum of 1000 points. These awards, normally a Certificate, Rosette and Plaque (depending on the RD’s choice) are given out at the Regional Awards Banquet.

This is where we all get together to celebrate our cats and our friends. There will be a dinner, usually a formal 3 course meal, and awards presentation; occasionally this is held through the evening between courses or may be presented after the meal.
Best of Breed rosettes are also awarded to cats that didn’t make it into the top 25. Sometimes there will also be extra awards for people or clubs.

​Clapping, cheering, whooping and hollering are all strongly encouraged! It is traditional to stand up for the Best in each category.
Favours
Favours are a TICA tradition.
​
​These are little gifts, prepared by the Regional Winner owners, which are collected before the Banquet so they can be sorted into gift bags ready for the Banquet guests.
​
As a RW owner you can prepare a small gift for each attendee, current guidance - 100 pcs (the exact number will be confirmed once the Banquet bookings have closed).
​
These could be little gifts for cats, charms, keyrings, pens, badges/pins, catnip toys, handmade thingies, sweeties, chocolates etc. Most people also add a little business card or note to share their own wins, so receivers know who each of the items are from. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to create a sweet and thoughtful little gift. It’s all about celebrating our cats.
​We would love everyone to get involved, so we can get back to the old days when the bag of favours was huge and you’d spend all evening going through all the lovely little gifts inside from all our wonderful winners.
​
The collection will happen at the show hall on Saturday 10th January 2026 and must be done by 4pm.
​
You are welcome to pass your favours in advance to Evita or Claire at shows before January.
​
The final favour goody bags will be prepared by our Junior Exhibitors!

Tails & Tiaras

This year, the Regional Awards Show & Banquet will be hosted by TiCats & Cakes Cat Club on 10th & 11th January 2026.
​
​The Banquet, where we all get together to enjoy a nice meal with our fellow cat fancy friends and receive our awards, will take place at 7pm on Saturday 10th January 2026 at Springfields Events Centre, Spalding. You can choose to attend just the show, just the Banquet or both!
​
Your award can be picked up by someone else at the Banquet, however we will need to know about this in advance - please let Evita know by sending an email to regional.director.ew@tica.org before 9th January 2026.
​
The awards not collected at the Banquet will be brought to later TICA shows and you/ your representative can collect them there. The RD will have them available at the show on Sunday 11th January 2026 and 8th/9th February 2026 Maidenhead show. Should you be unable to collect or arrange collection at these shows, please get in touch with Evita at regional.director.ew@tica.org so we can organise them to be shipped (shipping costs will need to be covered by owners).

There is no official show/banquet hotel, but you will find Spalding Travelodge on site and Boston Travelodge just 20 minutes away from the hall.​ If there is demand TiCats & Cakes may be able to arrange a taxi for those staying at Boston Travelodge please contact Claire at ticatsandcakes@gmail.com
